User registration

Smart Expense registration is free and no credit card is required. New users wishing to register can do so both from the website https://www.smartexpense.io/ and from the mobile apps for iPhone and Android. To register it is preferable to use the work email address.

Personal data required

Once the initial form that requires email, password and password confirmation has been completed, the first registration step requires the indication of minimum personal data, such as name, surname, gender and language. Profile photo is recommended but not mandatory.

Creation of the company

The second registration step relates to the creation / indication of the user's company. If the company is already registered in Smart Expense, the user can enter his company code or the VAT number and check the existence of the company data.

Step 2 - Creazione Azienda

In case of a new company, it is necessary to insert the VAT number (Italian only) by typing the 11-digit number. If your company is active on VIES, the European register of all valid national VAT numbers, it will be possible to activate the search option on the VIES that allows to download the official company data.

If you choose not to use VIES, you need to manually enter your company details.

Strong authentication

The third and final step requires the user to validate his/her mobile number by entering a 6-digit security code that will be sent via SMS from the platform. In this way, a double authentication system is created which strengthens the secure identification of the person.
